What you tell me stays between us. I won’t share it with your parents, your school or anyone else without your permission.
There are a few exceptions. If I’m worried that you or someone else is in serious danger, or that someone is hurting you, I have to act to keep you safe. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian usually needs to agree to therapy, and Connecticut and New York each have their own rules about this.
I’ll go through all of it with you in our first session, and you can ask me anything.
