What does my teen work on in therapy?
Anxiety and stress, depression and mood changes, life transitions and identity development, school or academic pressures, family conflict, low self-esteem, and peer and relationship issues.
What’s your approach?
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on relational and strengths-based techniques tailored to each individual.
Online or in person?
Mostly online, for families who live in Connecticut or New York. In person on occasion at my office in Greenwich, CT.
How long is a session?
Sessions are offered in two lengths to meet your needs: a 45-minute session and a 60-minute session.
What if my teen doesn’t want to come?
That’s common. Many teens are unsure at first. You can book the consultation call yourself, and I’m happy to talk with your teen briefly so they can ask questions and see if I’m someone they could talk to. If they’re not ready, I can suggest ways to support them in the meantime.
How long does therapy usually last?
Most people meet weekly at first. Some come for a few months, others longer. We’ll set goals together and check in on them regularly, so you always know what we’re working toward.
